At Peaceful Alchemist, we value your safety, both financially and physically. We want you to feel completely secure when you book your journey with us. To ensure your payments are safe and that we fulfill our legal obligations as a Dutch tour operator, we provide a number of protections.

What this means for you (Summary):

Your Mmney is safe: We are members of VZR Garant. If we were to ever go bankrupt, this independent fund ensures you get your money back or can complete your trip.
We are professionals: As a member of the VvKR, we belong to a professional association of small-scale Dutch travel specialists who adhere to high ethical and quality standards.
We are insured: We carry mandatory Business Liability Insurance specifically for tour operators, covering you during our retreats.
You are protected by EU Law: Because our retreats include accommodation and activities, you are legally protected by the European Package Travel Directive.

1. Statutory Travel Guarantee

The combination of travel services offered to you constitutes a travel package within the meaning of the Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302. This means that you are entitled to make claims under all EU legislation applying to travel packages.

In order to meet its statutory obligation to provide a guarantee, Peaceful Alchemist uses VZR Garant for all travel packages. VZR Garant is a recognised guarantee scheme.
If Peaceful Alchemist should become financially insolvent before the end of your booking, VZR Garant will, depending on the situation, ensure that you get your booking payment back, are able to continue with your booking, or are repatriated. You can find the conditions for the guarantee scheme on VZR Garant’s website (www.vzr-garant.nl/en).

Peaceful Alchemist has therefore protected itself against insolvency through VZR Garant. If services are not provided by Peaceful Alchemist due to insolvency, you can contact VZR Garant, which has its offices at Torenallee 20, 5617 BC Eindhoven, Netherlands, by sending an email to info@vzr-garant.nl or by calling +31 (0)85 13 07 630.

2. VvKR Membership

We are a proud member of the Vereniging van Kleinschalige Reisorganisaties (VvKR). This association represents specialized, small-scale travel organizations in the Netherlands. Our membership signifies that we adhere to strict professional standards, providing you with a high level of personal service and ethical business practices.

3. Professional Liability Insurance

In accordance with VvKR requirements and Dutch law, Peaceful Alchemist holds comprehensive Business Liability Insurance (Bedrijfsaansprakelijkheidsverzekering). This insurance covers damage to persons or property during our retreats, providing an extra layer of physical and legal security for our participants.
